Planning for the future while keeping the existing integrity of the city.

Why I am running for City Council

The future of Paragould holds excellent possibilities and opportunities. Ensuring that current and future generations continue to live and work in Paragould is vital to the health of our community. Paragould's past leadership produced a strong foundation for steady and stable growth for our city. Our current administration has an exciting vision for our community. I want to help bring that vision to life in a SMART and SUSTAINABLE way. I believe as your representative I can do so.

As a resident, I believe we should:

  • use tax dollars effectively and sensibly
  • expand public safety resources
  • improve streets and sidewalks
  • continue to develop parks and amenities
  • support local business
  • build for future generations
  • encourage job opportunities
  • represent all Paragould citizens

My Qualifications:

  • diverse work background
  • experience managing large budgets
  • the ability to solve complex problems
  • leadership experience
  • knowledge of the laws and regulations

Dedicated to Keeping Paragould a Thriving Community

Paragould is a great place to live and work. We have a city that has steadily grown instead of stagnating or declining like other cities in Northeast Arkansas. Even though we have grown, we have retained our small-town feeling. I am dedicated to protecting the INTEGRITY of our town as we provide programs and ordinances that help our community THRIVE. As a representative for Ward 2, a ward I grew up in, still live in, and where most of my family resides, I continue advocating for Ward 2 and all Paragould's residents.

Why Now Is the Time

For the last few years, my ability to become more involved in the community has grown. Running for City Council was not initially on my radar. Instead, I sought out other ways to become more active. I joined the Board of the Greene County Community Fund in 2021 and accepted an appointment to the City Beautiful Commission in 2022. In the past two years, I have witnessed exciting things happening in Paragould, and I wanted to be a part of it. With the unfortunate loss of Aaron Camp, I saw an opportunity to take a leadership role in helping Paragould continue to thrive. After being appointed to fill Aaron's term, I better understand how I can help Paragould grow smartly and sustainably. Naturally, continuing to be a part of the city council allows me to be actively involved in Paragould's future.
